A spoiler-dense, chapter by chapter discussion of Gene Wolfe‘s science fantasy masterpiece The Book Of The New Sun, covering all four volumes and a little bit from Urth of the New Sun when necessary. They don‘t try to spoil anything else but, then again it‘s not a prepossessing podcast. https://www.patreon.com/rereadingwolfe

Hey guys! Really enjoying your podcast and thanks for doing it. I want to suggest that Triskele fits into the overall story as the subject of Severian's first act of mercy, prefiguring his mercy towards Thecla and, much later, the woman in Thrax. This act requires disobedience to social norms which itself requires independent thought, which is a strong element in BotNS. It's also prefigured by an act of mercy shown to Severian at the very beginning of the story.
